Important Dates:

The following is a step-by-step guide for admissions:

  1. Priority consideration is given to completed applications received on or before February 1, 2011. Applications received after this date will be considered, as openings are available.
  2. Grace Academy is committed to providing need-based tuition assistance, helping applicants who would not otherwise be able to benefit from a Grace Academy experience. Please review the information sheet on Tuition Assistnace and then speak with theTuition Assistance Coordinator for more details.
  3. Please complete the Application for Admission and return it to the Grace Academy office with your non-refundable application fee ($150 for K-4th Grade, $110 for Grades 5-12).
  4. Submit questionnaire forms to the applicant’s current teacher(s), administrators and church reference. These should be mailed directly from the reference to the Grace Academy office.
  5. Every applicant must take a placement test. Applicants to Grades K – 4 will be tested at Grace Academy. We will schedule this once all application materials have been received. Applicants to Grades 5 and above must register to take the ERB Independent School Entrance Exam. Registration information for the exam is available online at http://www.erbtest.org. The code needed to report an ISEE score to Grace Academy is 447600.
  6. Both Parents must read Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning or The Case for Classical Christian Education by Douglas Wilson (Crossway Books) and the Student-Parent Handbook prior to the Admission Interview, which is required for every family.
  7. After all application forms are received and reviewed, testing and interviews are completed, letters will be sent to each family applying to Grace Academy. If an offer of admission is made, a Registration Agreement will be included with the letter. This agreement, along with the Registration Fee is due within 10 days. Letters will also be sent to students who are placed in the waiting pool or to students who are not admitted. A student is placed in the waiting pool when a class is full.
  8. Parents new to Grace Academy must attend New Parent Orientation in the spring, typically held in May.
  9. All students entering Grades 4 and above may be required to participate in summer tutoring in Latin. Further information will be available in May of each year.
  10. Students in Grades 3 and above who need additional preparation in math and/or language arts may be required to participate in summer tutoring.
  11. Payment of tuition is required for attendance.

    Grades 1 – 4
  • Application and Supplemental Admission Questionnaire (1st or 2nd-4th)
  • Application and testing fee of $150 (non-refundable)
  • Teacher Questionnaire(s)
  • Pastoral Reference Form
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Recent photograph no larger than 3” x 5”
  • Principal/Headmaster/Guidance Counselor form
  • Current report card/transcripts/achievement test scores
    Grade 5
  • Application and Supplemental Admission Questionnaire
  • Application fee of $110 (non-refundable)
  • Teacher Questionnaire(s)
  • Pastoral Reference Form
