Salutationes in nomine domini nostri, Iesi Christi!

Greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ! Welcome to the admission portion of our website in which we help you find some of the relevant information you need to explore Grace Academy and proceed with an application for admission.

My primary role at Grace Academy is to assist parents as they explore the school, observe in classrooms and patiently wait through each step in the application process.  We ask you to complete your admission file no later than February 1 of each year so we may serve you as efficiently as possible, given that our twelve-month payment plan begins in early May each year.

To begin your exploration, there are several readings which are essential to discover who we are as a school. Most important is our Statement of Faith, which delineates between our primary and secondary doctrines; we endeavor to keep Scripture at the center of all we do.  Our Mission Statement and Philosophy, both penned at our founding, remain relevant to our school's cultural and educational identity.

Next, I would recommend that you carefully read the Statement of Parental Responsibilities.  This clarifies what is expected of parents in order to most fully support their student(s) and the community of Grace Academy.  I also encourage you to view the school's Admission Standards.

We ask that you attend Open House the fall prior to your child's proposed enrollment to observe in classrooms and pick up an application for admission.  If the published dates conflict with your schedule, please call me for an appointment.

In addition to all the above, prior to submitting your application, we ask that you read Chris Perrin's An Introduction to Classical Education.  If you desire more information, the Parent-Student Handbook and Douglas Wilson's book The Case for Classical Christian Education are required reading before the Parent Interview.  Another informative resource is Dorothy Sayers' 1947 seminal essay The Lost Tools of Learning.

I am here to help with every aspect of your exploration of Grace Academy and your child's application for admission.  It is both a privilege and a blessing to serve and I look forward to meeting you in person.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Susan Schwab, M.S.
